In trying to set out to prove that there are no lyrics in hip-hop we have started a list of songs in which they repeat the same word or phrase over and over. In Sean Kingston's song "Fire Burning on the Dancefloor" they say "fire burning" many many times, but maybe not as many times as Chris Brown says "down" in his new song, appropriately titled "Down". So let's find out.
Fire Burning on the Dancefloor:
"fire burning" = 23
Down:
"down" = 59!
I Gotta Feeling: (Black Eyed Peas)
"Tonight's gonna be a good night" = 21 or 24 got conflicting reports
"Let's live it up" = anyone know?
Any more entries? I'm sure there are tons of songs as genious as the previous three are.
